Our plan, step by step
  1. Make sure the plan fits your home.

Review your annual electric use, roof and layout. The draft has 22 Qcells 410 W panels, modeled at 8,762 kWh a year and about 103% of estimated annual use.

  2. Choose what the battery backs up.

One 13.5 kWh Powerwall 3 is included. We’ll confirm supported loads, placement and backup priorities with you.

  3. Compare the two monthly illustrations.

Use the same solar-and-battery package for both routes. Apply one benefit option toward the loan, with VPP income shown separately.

  4. Confirm the benefits and lender terms.

Your provider confirms benefit eligibility, amount and timing. Your lender confirms the actual offer, payment dates and any paydown or reamortization terms.

  5. Review your proposal and protection.

Go through the final equipment, installation scope and coverage documents together. If you’re changing providers, review your existing agreement first.

  6. Complete design and approvals.

After you choose your plan and complete the required documents, we coordinate the site review, permits, CMP approval and installation scheduling.

  7. Install, inspect and connect.

Complete installation and inspection, obtain utility permission, then set up the Tesla app and your backup reserve.

  8. Enroll for eligible VPP income.

We’ll help with the enrollment steps. Actual earnings depend on approved participation and performance, with income paid separately from your loan.

Solar. Stored energy. Backup.

16 panels on the garage and 6 on the house, with one Powerwall 3. Solar supplies your home, the battery stores energy for later, and CMP remains available when needed.

Backup time depends on battery charge, supported loads and the final electrical design.
